The Biggest Skiing,
the First National Park
and(of course) Steak

For those of you itching to pack the biggest skiing, America's first national park, and only-in-Montana side-journeys into one epic winter trip, consider the Gallatin Corridor. Land in Bozeman, ski through Big Sky, dip into Yellowstone National Park via West Yellowstone and return home boasting a goggle tan, a box of microbrews and tales of frosty glory.
Bum Around Bozeman
In a town with so many calorie-burning diversions, it just makes sense: dinner and lunch, sold by the pound. Scoop up yours at the new Co-op Deli Downtown, then work it back off. Here, heart-rate-spiking options include Bohart Ranch Cross Country Ski Center, Bridger Bowl Ski Area and miles of snowshoe-worthy trails. Then, get a jump on your journey by heading out to Gallatin Gateway, country dance through Stacey's Old Faithful Bar and Steakhouse and slumber at the historic Gallatin Gateway Inn.
EXPLORE BOZEMAN ›
Buzz Powder Magazine voted Bozeman first place in their Top 20 Places to Live to Ski lineup, listing Bridger Bowl, Moonlight Basin, and Big Sky Resort as major draws. Local Scoop Brody L. says cross country ski in 10 miles to stay at the Garnet Lookout in Gallatin Canyon.
Go Bigger in Big Sky
In Big Sky, choose between Big Sky Resort or Moonlight Basin, or both, with the double-dipping Lone Peak Pass. (Both resorts come with slopeside accommodations, spas, and the works.) Embrace the quiet of the woods by cross-country skiing Lone Mountain Ranch. Afterwards, reverse your adrenaline levels with a microbrew from Lone Peak Brewery and Taphouse, or a backcountry dinner via snowcat with Montana Dinner Yurt.
THE BIGGEST SKIING IN AMERICA ›
Go West! (Er, Yellowstone)
In West Yellowstone, there are three distinct attractions -- Rendezvous Nordic Trails, an endless (and world-renowned) snowmobile playground, and of course, Yellowstone National Park. You can ride a snowcoach out to Yellowstone's Old Faithful, then make a trip-changing choice: continue the adventure on skis or snowshoes, catching highlights like the Norris Geyser Basin or Yellowstone Falls... or, call it good and snowcoach back to town to grill your own steak to perfection at Eino's Tavern.
PLAY IN THE PARK ›
Have you ever skied your way through geothermal wonder? Shredded some of the biggest terrain in America? Eaten gourmet fare from a winter yurt? Well then. Whatcha waiting for?
