Tourists In Our Own State…On a Livingston Saturday Night
Mark from Missoula, Montana
We thought about celebrating our anniversary in Hawaii, but all the typical obligations of modern life got in the way. Plan B? Spend a romantic weekend in Livingston, Montana.
My wife’s parents, who live at the Bozeman Pass near Livingston, saw our need to get away for awhile and offered us a three-day weekend (without kids) while we played in and explored one of our favorite regions of the state.
At the end of the three-hour drive there from Missoula and just a few minutes from the turnoff to their home, a south wind was blowing up from the headwaters of the Yellowstone River, and I tightened my grip on the steering wheel. Dark clouds surrounded most of the highest peaks in the Absoraka Range.
