Overview Service & Activities
Overview Service & Activities
About Length: 3.8 miles Trailhead: Look for a sign simply labeled “Yellowstone” with a picnic table icon, on the Northeast Entrance Road, just east of Tower Junction. This trail climbs steeply to the rim of the Narrows of the Yellowstone and then heads down to the Yellowstone River. Look for peregrine falcons and osprey, which nest in the canyon, and bighorn sheep along the rim. Walk past geologic features as the trail continues along the rim up to the Specimen Ridge Trail junction. Turn around or keep going on the Specimen Ridge Trail loop.
