Clyde Aspevig
Landscape Painter
“Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, that's one of the great things about Montana. It's like living in a different country every time the weather changes because it's so unique and beautiful. ”
— Clyde Aspevig
Growing up on a farm in northern Montana, Clyde discovered a connection to Montana's landscapes at a young age. While his early efforts attracted awards and critical praise from the regional or "Western" sector of the art community, Clyde's work has since emerged to be highly sought after by world class collectors. He considers his paintings to be visual souvenirs of places experienced in his life. The viewer, too, shares in Clyde's magical evocations of the Montana landscapes that touched him.

Whether you're going to Glacier National Park or traveling to the American Prairie Reserve, Clyde's secret to exploring Montana is to immerse himself in the culture of all the little towns in-between. Getting out of the car and into the coffee shops, diners and museums is the best way to experience the heart of Montana.
