The Saturday Farmer’s Market in Uptown Butte, is held on West Park Street from Main to Montana, every Summer Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., May through September. Fresh flowers and produce, and handmade arts and crafts are but a few of the finds awaiting you here.

The Butte 100 Bike Race

The Butte 100 Bike Race, which bills itself as the Most Difficult Mountain Bike Race in the country, is a sporting event to behold. Extreme mountain bikers, tackling extreme routes in the high-altitude mountains south of Butte in 50- and 100-mile races, are awe-inspiring in their singular focus to make it to the finish line. The Butte 100 is held the last weekend of every July, at the same time bikers of another sort also roll into town

Outdoor Movies at the Original

On select summer evenings, Butte’s Original headframe and outdoor amphitheater is adapted into an outdoor movie theater complete with a Silver Screen. You can expect to enjoy older cult classics and the most recent releases with friends, families and the Butte community in a spectacular outdoor setting. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and snacks to make their experience comfortable and enjoyable. The event begins at dusk and is free to the public although donations of $10 per family are encouraged. Schedule: July 30th, Big Hero 6; August 6, Maleficent; August 20, Symphony Under the Silver Screen, and August 27, Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

The Butte Cobras

The Butte Cobras, a new hockey team in town, enjoyed its inaugural season in 2014-2015. The Cobras are part of the Western States Hockey League, and brought endless amounts of sports-fan-fun to their new home at the Butte Community Ice Center.
