“Our trip began with a drive through Paradise Valley, one of the most spectacular drives my wife and I have ever been on. Even going through the Roosevelt Arch was a thrill for us, as we’re history buffs and this is really where the whole national park movement began.

“Past the arch, we were immediately struck by how gorgeous the area was, and on our first turn into the Park, we saw two huge bighorn sheep on top of the ridge, with an absolutely stunning sunset going down right behind them. The whole trip, hiking or driving, we just kept seeing these incredible animals we’d never seen anywhere else: bison, bighorn sheep, bears and elk. The opportunity to be that close to wildlife, in that kind of a setting, is just amazing.”

“We stopped at Grand Prismatic Spring—it’s cool up close, but we wanted the image we’d seen in the ads: from above, looking down into the spring. So, we scouted around and found a trail up the hill that would give us the full view. Completely worth the hike. The colors of it really stood out, it’s just really vibrant. Unbelievable! It’s mind-blowing when you think about it, microorganisms are what create this massive pool that covers the whole spectrum of colors.”

“Arriving on the Beartooth Highway is just fantastic; the highway itself is a true engineering feat. And once you’re in Yellowstone, there’s so much variety, so many landscapes to choose from—geysers, lakes, mountains, wildlife, waterfalls, everything. Especially the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, which is so beautiful, spectacular and dramatic, and the Lamar Valley, where we saw grizzlies at a distance. I love Yellowstone, it’s really one of my favorite destinations. I’ve been there seven times, and I never get tired of it.”
