About

In the fall of 2010 Montana’s state highway system was rated second best in the nation. Here, we often get all the best attributes of superb riding, but especially remoteness and solitude. We now favor riding more in the spring and fall seasons.

Virginia City Loop

One of our favorite Saturday or Sunday loops runs from Butte to Twin Bridges, Sheridan, Virginia City, Ennis, up through McAllister to Norris, then through Harrison and LaHood, to Whitehall and back into Butte – about 220 miles.

Pioneer Scenic Byway

There’s a reason the 50 miles of the Pioneer Scenic Byway is relatively unknown to many motorcycle enthusiasts: It was just completely paved for the first time back in 2007.

Mill Creek

Locals call this splendorous and divergent little route “Mill Creek.” It is, more factually, Montana Secondary Hwy. 569, though it is scheduled for official full State Highway designation which means improvements at some point in the next ... well, in the future.
