Charles Marion Russell, the cowboy painter; he was the last of a dying breed and he captured the end of an American era.  The C.M. Russell Museum houses the most complete collection of Charles Russell art and personal objects in the world.

Located in Helena, the Montana Historical Society houses the Montana Homeland exhibit that traces 11,000 years of history under the Big Sky.

The Yellowstone Art Center in Billings is a leader in the collection, documentation, exhibition, interpretation, and preservation of works of contemporary and historic art of the Rocky Mountain West.
