Libby Dam Visitor Center is open during the summer, usually June, July, and August: 9:30am to 6:00pm, 7 days a week. Open by appointment the rest of the year. Tours of the dam will not be available during the fall or winter of 2025 due to construction. Spring field trips will be impacted by construction activity during 2026. The Souse Gulch day-use area near the visitor center offers playgrounds, picnic shelters, and boat ramp access to lake Koocanusa. Enjoy a picnic with a view of Lake Koocanusa, or hike the trails and take in the views from the challenging 18 hole Kooky-Noosa disc golf course. Campgrounds nearby include Dunn Creek flats, Blackwell Flats, and many Forest Service campgrounds as well.
