About
This is a very popular trailhead with parking and handicapped facilities at the end of Hyalite Creek Road. Hyalite Creek runs adjacent to the 1.5 mile trail to Grotto Falls. This portion of the trail is wheelchair accessible, allowing persons with disabilities to be able to view a very scenic Grotto Falls with surrounding mountains towering above the trail. Rustic log benches also have been placed in picturesque spots along the trail to rest and enjoy. Trail 427 continues past Grotto Falls, which is the first of at least nine named waterfalls visible from the trail up to Hyalite Lake and eventually onto Hyalite Peak (10,298 ft.).
