About The Alder Gulch Short Line is a 30-inch narrow gauge tourist railroad owned by the State of Montana. The #8 Bovey Train connects Virginia City and Nevada City for a one and a half mile mainline guided tour. The historic 1910 Baldwin Steam Locomotive will be on display for public viewing of a fascinating piece of American machinery. Please call (406) 843-5247 for the display schedule.
