Confederate Bureau of Reclamation Recreation Area located in southwest Montana on Canyon Ferry Reservoir. There is a campground with dispersed camping sites with vault toliets but no drinking water. There is a 14 day stay limit. Fishing and boating may be enjoyed on the reservoir.

Confederate Recreation Area is located 2 miles east of Townsend on US Highway 12, at milepost 2 go 18 miles north on Secondary Road 284.
