About A true castle with stories to tell in the walls and turret towers, columns, and arches setting on 10 forested acres with high tower views. From the west turret tower you can view Whitefish Mountain ski slopes and from the East turret tower you can look into Glacier International Park. Starting with the Kings master turret tower bedroom, which is 80' above the forest floor, you will be sleeping in a king size canopy bed with plush high end mattress and covers. When you are laying in bed, you will experience a nearly 360 degree view of the tree tops, and at night you will see the city lights far below. The 28' ceiling above gives you a spacious feeling. The remote modulating fireplace exudes warmth and a dancing flame that you control at your fingertips. Lanterns light the way up the winding spiral staircase to the King's Bed Chamber in the high tower. The entire turret floor below the bed chamber is exclusively for the King and Queen, featuring a large garden tub, a large double shower room, body spray, and rainforest shower bell. The bathroom also features a large walk-in closet and a sink for the King and one for the Queen. The garden tub is high in the King's tower and sits in front of a large window over looking the forest. The main floor bedroom in the King's tower is fit for a Prince who guards the royal bed chamber. The Prince's Bed Chamber features a king canopy bed with a high-end mattress and Renaissance-style furniture. When you sink into that mattress you will not want to get out. Rapunzel's Turret Tower reaches nearly 50' above the forest floor and features a 24' dome ceiling with skylights to view the moon and heavens. Rapunzel's Tower opens out onto a balcony for fresh mountain air and has a queen bed with a comfy pillow-top mattress that rivals the Princess and the Pea. The winding staircase from Rapunzel's Tower spirals down to an exclusive large bath area featuring an elegant clawfoot bathtub and double sink set in marble. The bathroom suite has a large closet and white/silver marble floors. The third turret tower houses the Dungeon Quarters, which has an outside entry off of the 1000' entertainment deck. The Dungeon features a plush carpeted floor with a double bunk bed and bean bags for the floor. The young at heart will love this chamber because it has a flat screen smart TV connected to the net. Anyone banned to this chamber will not want to escape! The spacious Castle Game Room on the main floor includes table games, puzzles, a reading area, and a lounging area for private conversation. This room features Roman columns and arches, Venetian plaster walls, African black walnut floors, and glass doors leading out to a southern exposure sundeck well above the forest floor. The kitchen, ready to please royalty, is set up with a Bertazzoni 6-burner gas cook range imported from Italy. The refrigerator is a 48' built-in unit with ice and cold water in the door. The large deep copper sink with the castle crest embossed on the front overlooks the entertainment deck and the nearby forest. The 8' granite top dining bar between the kitchen and the large vestibule seats four and is well lit with recessed lighting in the arch above. A small arched passage off the kitchen leads to a pantry stocked with the King and Queen's favorite spices, condiments, and food so you won't have to go shopping right away but can start enjoying your castle adventure. The kitchen refrigerator, under the counter juice cooler, and wine rack, is also stocked with all sorts of beverages and food. All we ask is that you replace what you take with something similar or make a donation for this service before you leave. The spices and condiments are on the house. The dining area features a hutch and buffet and extreme high-end table and scrolled dining chairs. The dining room also features Roman columns, Venetian plaster, and travertine rock floors imported from Italy. The large floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto the white birch forest and wildlife below. The vestibule between the entry leading into the main castle floor is 48' long and features two 300-pound Old World chandeliers with 48 candleabra lights that glisten on the yellow-gold imported marble floors. At the end of the vestibule is a picture gallery framed with two Roman columns. Between the columns is another marble top with three dining chairs and a lighted arch above. The living quarters, located at the heart of the castle, feature yellow-gold marble floors, framed by eight Roman columns and seven arches. The leather furniture allows you to relax from the business of the kingdom and enjoy the warmth of the 60' wood-burning fireplace. The living room area also features a twelve foot cathedral ceiling with a 300 crystal chandelier, inset in a circular ceiling. Two four-foot high silver candelabras stand on each side of the fireplace. Every floor in the castle has a concrete base with hot water tubing throughout to keep the stone floors comfortably warm and inviting. Just off of the vestibule is a guest bathroom with a marble free-standing sink for the common subjects. On the main floor is a washer and dryer made by Asko from Denmark, an ironing board, clothes steamer, and iron for your laundry needs. We also have three high end portable queen mattresses and two sofa's that brings the castle sleeping capacity to 16. In the winter, if the King, Queen, or any of their subjects desire snow cats, just say the word and we will provide phone numbers for you to rent premium machines for a discounted price. You can have them gassed up, delivered, and ready for your outdoor adventures. After all, the castle is located at the trail head of over 60 miles of trails and mountainous terrain ready for you to experience. Just to give you a little taste of what the Flathead Valley has to offer in the winter season, the ski slopes of the world-renowned Whitefish Ski Resort can be seen from the castle towers and is only a 20-minute drive and you are there. The resort offers 10 lift stations, snow cat adventures, sledding, boarding, fine dinning, bars, or just riding up the lift to view the entire valley below; and on occasion, live music, and special events throughout the winter. Bring your cold weather clothing and all the rest can be rented on the mountain or in Whitefish. Again, all you have to do is call us and we can arrange everything for you. Mid-winter begins the Whitefish Winter Carnival, which takes in an entire weekend of nonstop fun. The entire town is lit up and full of action. There are numerous nightclubs, dancing, and any kind of cuisine you desire. On a little quieter side, Whitefish offers an indoor ice skating arena to be fun for sure. Just 20 minutes from the castle is the heated Majestic Arena, which features equine events including rodeos, and many other night concerts and events. This gives you a little taste of the varied winter valley events. Just let us know what your tastes are and we can supply you with a complete list of all events. For summer events, the Flathead opens up to literally thousands of things to do and events to attend. The home page of this vacation rental ad includes a more complete listing of the possible activities the Flathead has to offer. Just to mention a couple, Glacier International Park with all of it's beauty and splendor, featuring helicopter tours, hiking, back-packing, camping, sightseeing, swimming, boating, snorkeling, picnicking, or just driving through is thrilling...don't forget your camera! The park entrance is only 35 minutes from the castle door. From the castle door is also summer four-wheeling with miles of national forest trails and roads, not to mention mountains to climb and wilderness to explore. You can travel all the way to Canada and back on a four-wheeler from the front door of the castle. On a more laid back note, you can simply enjoy the castle and never leave the grounds. The entertainment deck in the summer and fall will be furnished with a hot tub, professional barbecue/cooker, tables, chairs, hammock, fountain, and a fire pit, or you can get a suntan on the private sun deck on the other side of the castle. On the castle grounds you can see most any animal the wilderness has to offer. The deer visit most days and sometimes all day long. My daughter has hand-fed many deer, including a huge 5-point buck. She has named most of the deer. Springtime includes the joy of watching the fawns frolic all over the castle grounds. You do not need to bring much of anything other than special clothing you might need and your sense of adventure. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking pots and pans, baking dishes, dishes, utensils, cutlery, and more. The bedrooms are ready for you to jump into and relax. If you have a special event, we can arrange for a gourmet chef or catering at a special price. If you have any questions or need help, please contact us. We will work with our staff and do all we can to help you. We will do everything we can to make your stay a once-in-a-lifetime memorable experience.
