About Mount Brown Lookout Trail to the Mount Brown Lookout is one of the steepest in the Park. The trail begins near Lake McDonald and climbs to Snyder Creek, then at mile 1.7, the lookout trail climbs steeply to the north, beginning a steady ascent up switchbacks toward the summit.
