About
The Lake McDonald Ranger Station is a great day use area. The Lake McDonald Ranger Station Horse Trail (0.3 mi) offers a connection to the Upper McDonald Creek Trail. This level wooded trail runs along the west side of Upper McDonald Creek and can be done as an out and back or linked to Johns Lake Loop making a nice loop hike. Upper McDonald Creek Trail runs above Upper McDonald Creek with opportunities to look out over several impressive falls.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS
The Lake McDonald Ranger Station, also known as Kelly's Camp, is easily accessed from North Lake McDonald Road on the north end of Lake McDonald or a 7.4 mile mostly level hike via Lake McDonald West Shore Trail from Fish Creek Campground to the south.
