About Pumpkin Creek Ranch Recreation Area consists of 21,206 acres. Area wildlife include mule deer, antelope, whitetail deer, prairie dog, beaver, bobcat, coyote and some upland bird and waterfowl species. Pumpkin Creek runs through the recreation site. Vegetation is predominately sagebrush and grasses. The area is a classic Eastern Montana landscape which creates a feeling of vastness and open space. There are no facilities at this site. This is a "Pack In, Pack Out" area and all garbage must be removed. Nor fireworks are allowed. Be mindful of seasonal and fire restrictions. Please call the Miles City Field Office for current recreation site conditions and restrictions that may be in place.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Pumpkin Creek Ranch Recreation Area is located approximately 17 miles south of Miles City on MT Highway 59. Access is also available via Tongue River Road.
