About
Billings Public Library has something for every visitor, whether they come from across town, or across the world!
All visitors will find a welcoming community gathering space, with free Wi-Fi and Internet stations available for all to use. There are story times and crafts for children, technology lab and reading groups for teens, and a variety of free programs for all ages.
Montana residents are all eligible for library cards, which provides access to over 200,000 books, as well as thousands of DVDs, music CDs, audiobooks, and more. A library card is also your ticket to download free e-books, audiobooks and music, as well as access to research databases, take a language class, trace your family tree, and enroll in continuing education through the Library's website at www.billingslibrary.org.
Our books come in all formats, from board books and picture books for our tiniest customers to large-print versions of the latest bestsellers. Visitors will always find a great read at the library!
Those interested in local history will want to stop into the Montana Room, which boasts a terrific collection of materials on the history of Montana as both state and territory. Discover early pioneers, settlements, newspaper stories, biographical clips, information about the city of Billings, and many other items of local interest.
