About
Barron Creek Boating Site is located on the west side of 90-mile-long Lake Koocanusa, at an elevation of 2,521 feet, approximately 25 miles northeast of Libby and 34 miles south of Canada. Set in an open meadow atmosphere, it is surrounded by National Forest and is adjacent to one of the best known kokanee salmon fisheries in the northwest. This camping area has seven sites. The 3 sites in the open area have fire rings and vault toilet nearby and are able to accommodate up to a 40' rv. The 4 sites in the boat dock parking area have a vault toilet nearby. Campground road and boat ramp are paved, parking spurs and loops are of native material. Amenities include vault toilets, and a fully developed boat ramp with dock. There is no drinking water at the site. This is a pack it in, pack it out campsite. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed. Please limit your stay to 14 days. No camping fee.

From Libby, travel 13.6 miles northeast on Highway 37. Turn left onto Forest Development Road 228 north for 12.4 miles to Barron Creek Access road 4849, turn right.
