About From the deck, the hot tub or the fire pit watch bald eagles and ospreys fish the river. Geese and ducks spend a lazy afternoon in the cool, sparkling water. Deer and wild turkeys are at home in the front yard. The crisp, clean Montana mountain air is refreshing to the body and soul and the vast night sky is filled with countless brilliant stars. Trout fishing is right in front of the house! You can tube float down the river. And fall asleep to the sound of the rippling water. The awesomeness of nature! Want a break from the busyness of city life? You will love it here! The artist village of Bigfork is 10 minutes away with galleries, restaurants, shopping, golf, live theater and waterfront on the Swan River, Bigfork Bay and Flathead Lake. Glacier National Park, arguably one of our most scenic national parks, is less than an hour away. Nearby are Crane Mountain and Jewel Basin, popular for hiking and spectacular scenery. The Bob Marshall Wilderness, a little farther away, can provide day or overnight pack trips into pristine wilderness. The home is on 175 feet of riverfront, 40 feet from the river, forest and mountain views across the river, wooded vacant lot on one side, wooded undeveloped property across the road. A single family home nearly out of view is on the other side. This home is 2450 sq ft, 3 bedrooms 2 ½ baths. King bed in master suite, queen bed in the second BR, queen bed in the spacious loft. The gourmet kitchen has hardwood cabinetry and granite counter tops and is fully equipped with utensils, pots and pans, dishes, etc. The floor plan provides views in at least two directions from most rooms. The family room has a high lofted ceiling open to the loft and a wood burning pot belly stove. The living room has a gas fireplace and a cozy corner overlooking the yard, river, forest. There is a sauna in the master bath room. Outdoor furniture is on the deck across the entire front of the house together with a gas grill. The hot tub and fire pit were mentioned before. The lot is just under half an acre. Two 21 speed mountain bikes, a youth BMX bike, inflatable kayak, fishing rods and reels are available in the garage for use. Early August for two or three weeks the world famous Flathead Lake Cherries are ripe and can be purchased from any of a number of roadside stands. And you must visit the Ferndale Market just minutes away. It is like a 7 Eleven but, in addition, it is a complete outdoors outfitter. If you need it they have one! Montana. Nature. The experience will refresh your soul and spirit.
