The Bigfork Whitewater Festival will be celebrating its 51st year! We welcome you to join us for this historic, local event as either a competitor or spectator this Memorial Day Weekend in Downtown Bigfork.
Bigfork, Montana is located on the north end of Flathead Lake, where the Swan River spills into Bigfork Bay. The last mile of the Swan River, known as the "Wild Mile", is a class IV section of whitewater. This beautiful and challenging whitewater venue has a scenic nature trail paralleling the north side, giving spectators front row seats for some of the best whitewater action in the area.

The 17th Annual Montana Legends Run for the Vets is a Poker Run that raises money for the Local Veterans in need. It is the largest motorcycle event in the state and anyone that rides or drives is welcome. There is a huge silent auction, live music, BBQ and it all happens at the ABar Montana on Hwy 83 in Ferndale Montana, just a short hop east of Bigfork. All the money raised stays right here to help our local Veterans! We have Raffle for a Beautiful 1997 Harley Heritage Softail Classic with 4300 original Miles for $20 a ticket and we also have a nice Model 70 .270 SMR that comes with a S&W Mdl 19 .357 Mag for $10 Tickets are available at Sliters in Bigfork, Bigfork VFW, Tall Pine and we will be at the Kalispell Gun Show and at numerous locations throughout the Valley! June 7, 2026 marks the beginning of the of our 3rd summer of Stagecoach Rides at Wrangler Springs Ranch. We are looking forward to providing historical trips on this 500-acre property aboard our 1890’s Henderson Coach. The 1903 red barn seen from the highway, is now a location for weddings and party rental. We also can provide transportation if you are having an event at The Farm and request our services.

Young Frankenstein follows Frederick Frankenstein, the skeptical American grandson of the infamous Dr. Victor Frankenstein, who travels to Transylvania to claim his inherited family estate. Reluctantly embracing his legacy with the help of his quirky assistant Igor, lab aide Inga, and the eerie housekeeper Frau Blücher, Frederick resumes his grandfather's experiments and brings a creature to life. What ensues is a monstrously funny journey of mishaps, misunderstandings, and madcap mayhem as Frederick learns to balance science, love, and what it truly means to follow in the footsteps of a legendary—if slightly alarming—ancestor.

Centerpiece of the celebration is the annual parade through Bigfork which begins at noon. Bring your whole family to view our great parade to celebrate the birth of our country. The 4th of July Parade in Bigfork is a Flathead Valley favorite. There will be food trucks and live music in the downtown parking lot starting at 10am and continuing after the parade so head down early.
Parking for the parade will be in the field at the intersection of Highway 35 and 82. From this parking area only, free shuttle service is available to downtown from 8am-5pm. For everyone to have a clear view of the parade, there will be no cars allowed in downtown Bigfork after 8 am on the 4th.
Bigfork Rodeo Events brings Professional Rodeo at its best to the beautiful town of Bigfork, Montana this July. The Bigfork Rodeo was founded in 2018 by New West Rodeo Productions and prides itself in providing a fast paced, high energy rodeo sure to please contestants and rodeo fans alike. Join us in celebrating the 48th anniversary of the Bigfork Festival of the Arts! This annual event draws artists from far and wide showcasing art, crafts, food, and music. Downtown Bigfork is filled with an incredible selection of art and crafts on display, showcasing the incredible talents of both established and emerging artists. From paintings and sculptures to handcrafted jewelry and pottery, the variety of art is second to none.
But the Bigfork Festival of the Arts isn’t just about the visiting artists! It also about celebrating and supporting the businesses that line Electric Avenue. While enjoying the Festival of the Arts, be sure to browse the downtown shops and galleries that Bigfork is known for. There will be live musical performances both days, along with the Flathead Valley’s favorite food trucks.
The festival’s history dates back to May 1978 when the idea of the Bigfork Festival of the Arts was first proposed during a conversation on Electric Ave. Within months, the inaugural festival took place on the first weekend of August, defying expectations with its success. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community solidified its place as an annual event.
Over the years, the festival has flourished, growing steadily in size and reputation. In 2005, the Bigfork Area Chamber of Commerce took the reins, ensuring its continued success. Today, the festival boasts over 150 booths, featuring a diverse array of arts and crafts crafted by nationally and internationally recognized artists and artisans. Drawing in more than 6,000 attendees, the Bigfork Festival of the Arts has become a highlight of the summer season.
There will be free parking and shuttle from the Bigfork Rodeo Grounds at Highway 35 & 82 and limited handicap parking (decal required) at the UPS Store on Grand Avenue.

Enjoy an evening of staged hits from artists like The Spaniels, Roy Orbison, Cyndi Lauper, Journey, Elvis Presley, Chubby Checker, The Beatles, Billy Joel and more as the Bigfork Summer Playhouse brings you the HITS FROM THE 50's thru the 80's, live onstage! (Different from last summer's lineup.)

Entertainment will be provided by Europa — one of America’s most sought-after Oktoberfest bands — as well polkas, oom-pahs and more by local talents: The MAC Band, Hungry 5, and Accordion Bob & Co. And on Saturday afternoons, it’s the Flathead’s own German orchestra, the Bavarian Echoes!
Then it’s time for you to get into the act by entering one of our nightly stein-holding or log-sawing contests, hurling kegs on Saturday evening, putting together a team for the Beer Barrel Races, or doing the chicken dance!
