About High Plains Brewing located in a remodeled 40s-50s gas station at 601 East Main Street in Laurel, provides a nice, clean and comfortable atmosphere, where people can come in and enjoy a beer or two, High Plains Brewery has deep local roots with a background steeped in Montana agriculture. Owner, Dave Bequette has spent much of his life farming in the Edgar area, which is where head brewer, Levi Bequette grew up, and from whence he drew his inspiration for his growing passion for brewing beer. Much of the ingredients used in their beer is produced locally, most especially honey, which comes from a company that has hives on the Bequette farm.
