About Our mountain cabin has been completely remodeled with new beds, furniture, appliances, cabinets, flooring, bathroom, TV, BBQ, and deck furniture. Accommodations: 1 Bed, Loft and 1 bath. Sleeps 6. The cabin is located 18 minutes West of East Glacier and 10 minutes East of Essex. Property is 1/2 mile off of US Highway 2. The southern border of the lot is the Great Bear Wilderness. With a view of Glacier Park out the front window. The cabin is very private with a creek running in the back and Deer, Elk, and Moose often visible from the back deck. Although Private, the cabin has all the comforts: Satellite TV and cell service. The Snow Slip Restaurant is only 2 miles away with Wi-Fi, excellent food and ale. Grocery, Golfing, Shopping, Amtrak and Glacier Park Entrance are only 15 miles away at East Glacier. Or you can travel 10 miles west and visit the historic Izaak Walton Inn. If you are a horse person you have access to a barn and corrals within walking distance of the cabin, or we can set you up with our neighbor down the road who is a licensed wilderness Guide for Hunting, Fishing, Riding or Pack Trips. During the winter months, the road is kept plowed with 100 yards of the cabin so it becomes a great retreat for skiers and snowmobilers. With private runs behind the cabin and Mount Sheels, Elk Mountain and Snow Slip Mountain right out the front window. This is a very exclusive, private cabin, one of a kind with all Glacier Park has to offer, within minutes of the front porch.
