About The Bear Creek Bunkhouse is located at the edge of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, at the foot of the Madison Range. The bunkhouse is used as an administrative site in the summer and fall months. Bear Creek runs near the bunkhouse and cabin. Several trails are available for cross-country skiing in the wilderness. Bear creek is approximately 60 miles via MT Highway 287 from Yellowstone National Park. $30.00 per night. Fees are non-refundable, changes in reserved dates may be assessed an additional fee by NRRS. Capacity: two people.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS On the border of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, 21 miles south Of Ennis on Highway 287, ten miles south to Cameron, Montana. At Cameron turn due east three miles, follow road due south 1 and 1/2 miles, due east one mile, and due south approximately one mile, at the sign 'Bear Creek' travel southeasterly to the site. Call the Madison ranger district for specific directions.
