About Four person capacity; cost $35.00. This lookout is on a 30-foot tower and has an excellent view of the Clark Fork River and Noxon area. You can drive directly to the lookout, and it is equipped with two single beds and mattress, table and chairs, bench, wood heating stove, bucket, cleaning gear and firewood is provided. Due to vandalism, however, these items are not guaranteed. The lookout is not wired for electricity and has an outdoor toilet. We recommend taking your own water as all open water is considered contaminated. Due to the height of the tower, we discourage bringing children. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Gem Peak Lookout Tower is located 15 miles southwest of Trout Creek. This peak has two routes: access depends on road conditions. From Noxon, travel the Pilgrim Creek Road 149 approximately 12 miles to Road 2205, then follow for approximately 2 miles to the lookout. From Trout Creek, travel approximately 8.5 miles on Road 2229 to Marten Creek Road. Travel Marten Creek Road 151 approximately 5.5 miles, then turn onto Road 2213. Follow Road 2213 for approximately 5 miles to Road 2205 which leads to the lookout.
