About
Ninko Cabin is located 45 miles north of Columbia Falls, MT on the North Fork Road. Access involves an 12 mile hike, snowshoe, ski or snowmobile to the cabin from the North Fork Road.
Ninko has rustic accommodations including propane cook stove, lights, wood stove, and vault toilet. Renters should pack their own bedding and drinking water. Ninko's party size is 6 with two bunk beds and a small loft. Please pack out what you brought including your garbage. Grizzly bears live in the area; store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage inside the cabin. Pets are not allowed at Ninko. Polebridge Mercantile is located 10 miles south of Ninko and has a limited supplies.
Reservations can be made one day in advance and there is a three night maximum stay limit.
Clean the cabin when you leave. Rental fee is $30 per night. Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather, road conditions, too much or little snow, etc. Check in and out time is 2:00pm. The combination to the cabin will be on your letter of confirmation from NRRS.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS
Ninko Cabin is located 45 miles north of Columbia Falls, MT up the North Fork Road (County Road #486). To find the North Fork Road take Nucleus Avenue north through Columbia Falls, turn east on Railroad Street at the stop sign, this becomes the North Fork Road as it travels over the railroad overpass. Turn west on #318 Whale Creek Road, park in the plowed pullout near the entrance of the Whale Creek road, or the Whale Creek Road may be plowed during the winter approximately 2 miles. Park at the end of the plowing and ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile from this point approximately 7 miles to the gated road #10832, travel northwest on this road approximately 2 miles to Ninko Cabin. Signs are posted along the way. The North Fork Road is gravel, rough in spots, and intermittently plowed during the winter months. 4 wheel drive and chains are recommended during winter.
