About Savenac West Cottage is one of the buildings located at the Historic Savenac Nursery. The historic nursery was founded in 1907 as a Forest Service tree nursery. Nursery operations concluded in 1969 and now the site is used for cabin rental. The west cottage was originally a residence built in the 1930's by the CCC. It has an electric range, microwave oven, assorted cooking utensils and service for 5 people, refrigerator, and sleeping facilities include 2 bedrooms. One room has a queen size bed; the other has two twin beds. The living room has a hide-a-bed that can also be used for sleeping. Visitors need to bring bedding. The west cottage is available for rental from September 15 to May 15 except for when it is reserved for administrative use or maintenance. Daily Use Fee: $40.00 Available: All Year.
