About Triangle Pond is a small day use area located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana, 3 miles west of Noxon. This triangular shaped site is located in a natural forest setting and is immediately adjacent to the Cabinet Gorge Reservoir. The pond is a popular summer destination for local residents. This area is for day use only, which means no overnight camping is allowed. There are picnic tables and restrooms at the site. Please remember to bring your own drinking water. Swimming and fishing may be enjoyed at Triangle Pond. Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on leashes. This site can be found on the Kootenai National Forest Visitors Map at Township 26N; Range 33W; Section 10.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS From Noxon, turn west onto Road 2229 (also known as the Noxon-Heron road) and follow for 3.5 miles to the site. Triangle Pond is adjacent to the railroad trestle that crosses the reservoir.
