About Length: 3.4 miles Trail Begins: Forest Road 235 Trail Ends: Trail Junction 215 On Petty Ford Creek Trail (244) you should keep in mind the availability of stock water. The only reliable resources are Ford Creek and Petty Creek. Forage is readily available as the trail passes across large meadowed benches and aspen groves. Attractions are views of Crown and Steamboat mountains and a diversity of plant life. Trail vehicles allowed. Obtain a copy of the Forest Visitor's map to determine any travel restrictions. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Take the Benchmark Road 235 19 miles west and south from Augusta. Turn south at the sign reading Petty Ford Creek Trail 244 on a spur road which drops down to Ford Creek.
