About Timberline Trail (12) leads to Gertrude and Timberline Lakes, both heavily populated with trout. A steep trail at the beginning, the trail is not a serious challenge for those in good physical condition. From the top the view is spectacular with Timberline Lake nestled at the base of a plunging granite cirque.
