About
Upsidedown Trail (26) travels from Upsidedown Trailhead south of Hicks Park Campground to the scenic Lake Plateau to Rainbow Lakes and Lake Plateau. The trail has an elevation of 3,000 feet. Pack and saddle stock users are encouraged to use East Fork Trail 27 and Rainbow Creek Trail 28 from Box Canyon to access the Lake Plateau. The trail is in good condition. Numerous switch-backs. Length: 8.5 miles. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS
Upsidedown Trail is located 25 miles south of Big Timber on US Highway 298, then 23 miles south on County Road 212. Access may be limited in spring, fall and winter due to snow.
