Overview Service & Activities
About Autumn Creek Trail begins on the west bank of Autumn Creek as it enters Bear Creek west of the Blacktail Hills, on US Highway 2 at the southeastern portion of the Park. The trail is maintained well for the first 1.6 miles, to Elk Mountain and then descends 2.4 miles to the junction trail that runs for a mile past Three Bears Lake to the highway summit of Marias Pass. The next 6.2 miles of the trail is poorly maintained, to the junction with the Lubec trail, which then returns to Highway 2 at the Lubec Ranger Station. The trail is well maintained for the next mile between the Lubec trail and the Firebrand Pass junction and 4.9 miles beyond to the park boundary. For the final 1.8 miles, the trail then returns to low-maintenance status between the park boundary and Midvale Creek bridge (behind Glacier Park Lodge). Length: 17.1 miles Trail Begins: Boundary, Autumn Creek Trail Ends: Midvale Creek Trailhead USGS Map1: Park Map
