Red Gap Pass Trail
About
On Red Gap Pass Trail, hike 0.1 mile then turn left for Ptarmigan Tunnel. At 2.4 miles, the trail crosses Ptarmigan Creek at Ptarmigan Falls. Junction for Ptarmigan Tunnel trail at 2.5 miles, turn to the right for Ptarmigan Tunnel. You will reach Ptarmigan Lake at 4.1 miles. The trail descends into the Belly River Valley. At 5.4 miles, you will be able to view Mount Merritt to the north. The junction for Redgap Pass Trail is at mile 7.8. Stay left for Elizabeth Lake.
Length: 14.6 miles
Trail Begins: Ptarmigan Trail (To get to this point, you need to hike 7.8 miles from the Iceberg Trailhead through the Ptarmigan Tunnel!)

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS
The Red Gap Pass Trail can be reached from The Iceberg/Ptarmigan trailhead, which is located at the north end of the Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge Complex, among the cabins behind the coffee shop.
