About Skalkaho Lodge and Steakhouse-John Rose Outfitter & Guide Service is located in the Bitterroot Valley, halfway between Glacier Park and Yellowstone Park. A great place to relax and enjoy Montana. We cater to family vacations and can arrange activities for the whole family. We offer hunting and fishing trips, elk, deer, bear and winter mountain lion hunts. Great for singles, families and corporate retreats. Highway 38 (Skalkaho) is closed in the Winter and Forest Service roads along with logging roads are groomed for snowmobiles. Try our Skalkaho Steakhouse, one of the best known steakhouses in western Montana. Call for reservations or just stop by. Visit us for good food and plenty of it!
