SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Blacktail Mountain, on the west shore of Flathead Lake; overlooks Lakeside, Montana. The Ski Area is a snap to get to with easy access from Highway 93 South. 1)Look for the signs and, once in Lakeside, turn west at Blacktail Grocery. 2) Follow the Blacktail Road 14 miles to the mountaintop. Blacktail Mountain Ski Area is an easy 45 minute drive from downtown Kalispell, 2 hours from Missoula, and an hour and a half from Glacier Park International Airport and the train depot in Whitefish.
