About Explore almost thirty miles of downhill and cross country mountain bike trails on the slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort. From the gravity-defying Runaway Train, to the intermediate Summit Trail that provides sweeping views of Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley, there are trails that offer something for everyone. In 2013, five new miles and five new trails were added to the Bike Park for a total of 13 lift-accessed trails for riders to enjoy, including the new flow trails Freebird and Kashmir. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Whitefish Mountain Resort is located 36 miles west of Glacier National Park, 23 miles from Kalispell and 8 miles north of Whitefish, Montana off North/South Highway U.S. 93 and East/West U.S. Highway 2. The Whitefish Mountain Resort is a short, scenic drive from Whitefish, Montana. It is just eight miles from the Amtrak Station and nineteen miles from the Glacier International Airport.
