About The Chickadee Cabin is a breath of fresh air, and its quality second to none. You'll enjoy all the comforts of home in this newer cabin, with a great living room that includes a cozy wood fireplace, vaulted ceilings throughout, 2 spacious bedrooms, a tile shower with dual shower heads, full service kitchen, deck and covered patio, onsite parking, and pets are welcome. Glacier Nat'l Park, Whitefish Lake, Big Mountain skiing are all at your beck and call, so come for a visit and stay a while! This cabin is such a relaxing place to stay. It was built in 2016, and is warm and inviting, with lots of charm. It sits on just under 3 acres of meadowed woods, and the chickadees and turkeys visit daily. There is comfortable leather furniture in the living room, snuggly beds and bedding, and outside under the covered patio, you can read, visit, or kick up your feet after a day of hiking in the summer. In winter, you can stoke up a fire and curl up to watch a good movie, or make great meal. There is also a great fire table on the covered patio, so you can enjoy the evening in front of the flames. Dogs are part of the family around here, and yours are welcome to join you on the sofa, snuggle into bed with you, or play in the enclosed dog run that's adjacent to the house. The dog run has a large dog house with a window, so your pups can be safe and cozy, and see you the instant you come home. A convenient hot/cold exterior faucet and paver wash area is a bonus for washing your pup, bikes, kayaks, or other equipment at the end of an adventurous day. There is also a deck off the master bedroom where you can relax in the shade of the umbrella and sip a glass of wine, or play checkers on the game table. There's free parking on site, and a grassy lawn to stretch out on and read a good book. We provide soft and cozy throw blankets, extra pillows, firewood, a dog blanket, and dog waste bags as additional extras at no charge. There are also guide books, maps and bear spray available for you to borrow while you are here, just please remember to return them when you leave. The Chickadee Cabin is truly a gem of a place to be while on your vacation to beautiful northwest Montana, so come and stay a while!
