About
Lake Helena Wildlife Management Area encompasses 157 acres.
Management goal: To improve the waterfowl production potential of the land, and to provide and maintain public hunting and recreational access to the lake.
Hunting opportunities: Seasonal opportunities to hunt ducks and geese.
Wildlife viewing: Year-round bird watching and wildlife photography opportunities. Spring and fall migration periods offer opportunities to view an array of species, from swans to eagles.

Lake Helena Wildlife Management Area is located in Lewis and Clark County, about 10 miles northeast of Helena. Road access for boat launching and general access to the 2,100 acre lake is available off Route 453
