About
Big Nelson Campground is located in the Seeley Lake Ranger District. There are 6 campsites and a vault toilet. No drinking water available. No trash removal, pack-in/pack-out. Fishing and boat launch on Cooper's Lake. 7 miles by trail to Bob Marshall and Scapegoat Wilderness areas. Gas and groceries can be found 19 miles away, and horse rental and outfitter guide service is just 4 miles away. The maximum recommended trailer length is 16 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days. Season of operation depends upon weather conditions and accessibility.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS
Travel 7 miles east of Ovando on Montana Highway 200 to North Fork Blackfoot Road 500, turn north, then travel 12 miles. Good gravel road.
