Overview Service & Activities

About Grand Menard, about 1 mile north on the Ninemile ranger station, is a good place to picnic, play, and enjoy a trail through the woods. You'll find picnic sites for both small and large groups, horseshoe pits, and a playing field. Drinking water is available in the summer. The interpretive Discovery Trail has two loops, each less than a mile long. One loop is wheelchair accessible. Interpretive brochures are available at the trail head or the ranger station.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Take I-90 west from Missoula to Exit 82 Ninemile Road. Go approximately 2 miles and turn north just before Ninemile House Restaurant and then continue for another 2 miles. At the intersection, go straight ahead on Road 476 about 1 mile to Grand Menard Picnic Area.
