About The Rimini-Elliston-Basin Snowmobile Loop trailhead begins at Moose Creek on the Rimini Road, with groomed route on forest roads, mostly timbered, with some ridgetop vistas. 161 miles of marked, ungroomed and groomed trails. Cooperative venture with Helena Snowdrifters Snowmobile Club and Montana Department of Fish, Willife and Park. Trail system on Helena and Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forests. Selected trails are groomed as funding is available. Roadside parking at Cataract Creek. Other access available on Helena National Forest. Maps available at District Offices.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Rimini-Elliston-Basin Snowmobile Loop is located approximately 8 miles west of Helena on Highway 12, then approximately 6 miles south on the county road to the trailhead.
