About See, smell and feel the experience of a lifetime with Montana Safaris. Our summer safaris will enable you to enjoy areas of alpine beauty that most visitors only dream about. Using horses and mules, our experienced crew will guide you along wilderness trails and share with you their unique knowledge and harmony with the area. Enjoy the camaraderie as our roving pack trips create precious memories for both families and individuals. Your mouth will water when you smell the aroma of our camp cuisine, which is cooked from scratch. The abundance of wildlife and mountain vistas, as well as the trout waiting in the streams and meadows full of wildflowers, will quench the desire for summer vacation fulfillment for almost anyone! Trademarked as one of Montana's most authentic adventures, our fully guided eight and nine day hunting safaris will take you into untamed wilderness in search of trophy elk, deer or bear. Hunts range from mid-September, when the elk bugle in the mountain canyons, through late November as they migrate to winter pasture and the mule deer are in a rut. Bear may be encountered at anytime during our season. We are proud of our proven track record for successful hunts. At the end of each day's quest, make yourself at home in a wall tent complete with a wood stove, lanterns and cots. Wander over to the cook tent for a home-cooked meal to satisfy your newly acquired mountain appetite. As nightfall settles in the valley, sit back and enjoy tall tales shared among friends. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Montana Safaris's headquarters is located in Vaughn at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. One mile west of Vaughn on US Highway 89, on the south side. The closest international airport is Great Falls. We provide courtesy transportation from Great Falls.
