About Silos Recreation Area Campground and Marina is located on the shore of Canyon Ferry Lake in South Central Montana. The lake is renown for its walleye and trout fishing in addition to boating and recreation. The lake shore Bureau of Reclamation campground has 86 dry sites (for both RVs and tents), 4 gazebos, handicapped accessible restrooms and 5 boat ramps which are available to the public for either a daily or seasonal fee. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Silos Recreation Area and Marina is located on Canyon Ferry Lake. From Townsend travel 7 miles north on US Highway 287, turn at Milepost 70, and drive 1 mile east on Silos Road. From Helena it is 25 miles south on US Highway 287 turn at Milepost 70, and drive 1 mile east on Silos Road.
