About Kilbrennan Lake is located on the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana. At an elevation of 2,900 feet, the campground encompasses 6 acres with 7 separate campsites. The basic facilities are offered; no drinking water is available. This campground is located adjacent to the water on .75-mile-long Kilbrennan Lake. It is situated in a natural forest environment and is popular with the local residents. A boat ramp is located on the north side of the lake, next to the campground, and is suitable for small water craft. The area is in close proximity to Kilbrennan Creek, Yaak River, Yaak River Campground, and Yaak Falls. Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on leashes. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 24 feet. Please limit your stay to 14 days.

SPECIAL DIRECTIONS From Troy, take US Highway 2 west for approximately 3 miles to Road 2394. Turn onto this road and follow for 8 miles to the campground.
