About
Flatiron Mountain Ski Trail is intermittently groomed. Ski or snowshoe up to Rainbow Lake road taking a right at road junctions. The road switchbacks near the top, and trees are very sparse so it is possible to ski up and follow the ridge. Look ahead to the edge of the logged area for the point at which there are few trees between it and the open ridge. Ski the open ridge to the summit. A circle trip may be made by skiing down through open trees between the summit and clearcut, skiing south to the lower road or clearcut. Parking capacity for 10 vehicles. Motorized vehicles prohibited. SPECIAL DIRECTIONS
From Libby, travel 0.5 mile on Highway 37. Turn onto Pipe Creek Road 68 and travel north for 22 miles to the Rainbow Lake Road.
