SPECIAL DIRECTIONS Headquarters for Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters is located at 1263 Highway 10 W Big Timber, Montana 59011. Big Timber is easily accessed from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and Billings Logan International Airport. Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters' backcountry camps, Hellroaring and Buffalo Fork, are located eight miles north of Yellowstone National Park in the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. Hellroaring is accessed by a twelve-mile horseback ride from Independence. Independence is located at the head of Boulder River fifty-five miles south of Big Timber and accessed by 4x4 vehicles. Absaroka-Beartooth Outfitters operates summer day fishing & horseback riding adventures just outside Big Timber and summer wilderness fly-fishing and pack trips out of Hellroaring and Buffalo Fork. Big game archery and rifle hunting locations include Independence, Hellroaring, Buffalo Fork, and select Big Timber private land ranches.
