This is a DAR historic marker honoring the point on the Yellowstone River where Captain Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition passed down the river on July 24, 1806.
The marker reads, "Captain Clark, of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, passed down the river opposite this point July 24, 1806. Erected by Shining Mountain Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, 1924”
